Add-On Program

Catching it early is the whole game

Stay watchful for thinning areas of turf, or irregular circles that are off-color. Those are the signals of potential disease or harmful insects, and they are the point at which a treatment is still cheap and the recovery is still quick. Past that point you are no longer treating a disease — you are renovating bare ground.

Our team identifies the problem and creates an action plan to get the yard back to full health. On fescue lawns the most common culprit by a distance is brown patch, which is why a preventive protectant is written into our fescue programs instead of being sold to you after the damage is done.

The sooner a problem area is diagnosed and treated, the better the yard does long term.

Insect & Disease Control

What's Included

Diagnosis before treatment — Our team identifies what is actually wrong — fungus, insect, or a cultural problem that no spray will fix — and builds the action plan from that.
Fungicide applications — Preventive on fescue, where brown patch is near-inevitable in an Upstate summer; curative where disease is already established.
Insect control — Treatment for the damaging insects that thin turf from below before the damage reads as drought stress.
Scientifically proven products — Safe for the yard, effective on the target, applied under best management practices.

Frequently asked questions

Insect & Disease Control FAQs

How do I know if I have a disease or an insect problem?
Watch for thinning areas of turf, or irregular circles that are off-color. Those are the two signs we ask clients to call about. The sooner we diagnose and treat the problem area, the better the long-term outcome for the lawn.
Is brown patch really that common here?
On fescue, yes. Upstate summers are hot and humid enough that brown patch is the default risk on a cool-season lawn, which is why a preventive protectant application is built into both of our fescue programs rather than sold as a rescue.
Are the products safe around my family and pets?
Our insect and disease control products are scientifically proven to be safe for your yard and effective against fungus and harmful insects, and we use best management practices on every spray. Your pre-service email carries the specific re-entry guidance for whatever we applied.
