Core Program

Your grass type decides your program

Nature’s View Lawnscapes specializes in lawn fertilization and weed control, and every program we sell is split by turfgrass species first. That is not a marketing distinction. A Bermuda lawn and a fescue lawn in the same Upstate neighborhood want nutrition at opposite ends of the calendar, tolerate completely different herbicides, and fail in completely different ways when they are fed on the wrong schedule.

The Upstate sits in the transition zone, which is the hardest place in the country to grow grass — warm enough that cool-season fescue struggles through August, cool enough that Bermuda and Zoysia go dormant and brown from roughly November into March. Most of the lawns we take over have been treated as though that were not true. Our specialist identifies your species on the first visit and sets the seasonal plan from there.

Pricing is based on cost per square foot, so what you pay follows the size of your lawn rather than a guess. We measure it — usually from aerial imagery, and in person when we can’t see it clearly online.

You can’t get that golf-course green look without knowing the turfgrass and the soil underneath it.

Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control

What's Included

Pre-emergent weed control — Applied before weed seed germinates — the single highest-leverage visit of the year, and why crabgrass never gets started in a lawn that has been on program.
Fertilizer matched to your species — Warm-season grasses and fescue want nutrition at opposite ends of the calendar. Feeding on the wrong schedule is how a lawn gets pushed into disease.
Post-emergent weed cleanup — Whatever broadleaf weeds are actually up on the day we visit get treated, every visit.
Lime — Acidic Piedmont soil locks nutrients away from the plant. Lime corrects pH so the fertilizer can do its job.
Research-based products — Products researched by leading industry experts and university professors, sourced through Harrell’s, Simplot, Corbin Turf and Southern Ag.

Frequently asked questions

Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control FAQs

Do you treat my whole lawn or just the weeds you can see?
Both. Every program visit is a full-lawn treatment — fertilizer matched to your grass type plus pre-emergent weed control that stops weed seed before it germinates. On top of that, we spot-treat whatever broadleaf weeds are actually up on the day we are there.
How do you know what my grass is?
Our specialist identifies it on the first visit and builds your seasonal plan from there. You do not need to know the species — that is our job, and it is the whole reason our programs are split by grass type instead of sold as one generic package.
Why is lime part of the program?
Upstate soils run acidic. Lime brings soil pH back toward the range where the fertilizer you already paid for can actually be taken up by the plant. Both of our 7-application programs include a lime application in late fall; the premium programs add a second one in winter.
